Choose a ready-made pack or make your own. Each question has a fun fact to read out after the answer.

Friends join on their phones

They scan the QR or type the 5-letter code at instaquiz.app. No app to download and no account to make.

Read it out, then open the answers

You read each question aloud. When you open the answers, everyone taps A, B, C or D. Faster right answers score more.

Reveal the podium

Nobody sees the standings during the game. At the end you reveal third, second and then the winner, one tap at a time.

Put it on the TV

A big screen is optional. Open instaquiz.app/tv on a smart TV browser or a laptop, type the code it shows into your phone and press OK on the TV. The TV shows each question, the answer and the podium, and never the running scores.

Questions people ask

Do players need to download an app?

No. Players join in the web browser on their phone by scanning a QR code or typing a 5-letter code at instaquiz.app. They never make an account or give an email address.

How many people can play?

Up to 8 players for free. With a £5 party pass, up to 50 players can join one game.

Is it a subscription?

No. The party pass is a one-off £5. It lasts 48 hours from the start of your first game and does not renew.

Do I need a TV?

No. You can run the whole quiz from your phone and read the questions out. If you want a big screen, open instaquiz.app/tv on a smart TV browser or laptop and connect it from your phone.

Why are the scores hidden?

So the ending is a surprise. Each player sees whether their own answer was right, but nobody sees the standings until you reveal the podium.
